What This Workbook Is

LION: The Clinician's Workbook is a structured applied companion to the main text, designed for the relational context. Where the Reader's Workbook focuses on the individual's internal system, this workbook focuses on the space between two people — the mechanics of how two behavioral systems collide, influence each other, and can be deliberately realigned.

Who It's For

This workbook is written for couples working through the material together, for therapists and counselors using the LION Model as a clinical framework, and for any practitioner who wants structured, session-ready tools built around Polarity, Sequence, and Domains. It can also be used independently by individuals who are ready to work the relational dimensions of the model.

What You'll Work Through

The workbook moves through the three relational pillars of the LION Model: Polarity, Sequence, and Domains. These are the pillars that govern how two people's systems interact — where they align, where they pull against each other, and where the corrective work produces the most movement. Each section includes applied exercises, case-structure prompts, and relational mapping tools.

How It Works

The workbook is structured for both independent and paired use. Clinicians will find session-framing questions and structured exercises that can be assigned between appointments or worked through in session. Couples can move through the material jointly or in parallel, bringing their individual responses into shared conversation. The format is designed to generate dialogue, not just reflection.

Pillars Covered in This Workbook

Polarity

Map the directional charge of your relational dynamic — where the pull is mismatched and where it creates productive tension.

Sequence

Identify the behavioral sequences that run automatically in conflict — and trace the order in which moves are made and received.

Domains

Locate the domain gaps that are bleeding into the relationship, and map the transfer pattern from one area of life to another.
